Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, will be the subject of four programs in the coming week in Tallmadge, Ravenna and Kent.A program sponsored by the Tallmadge League of Women Voters will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium at Tallmadge Middle School, 484 East Ave.Speakers will include Jack Shaner, public affairs director of the Columbus-based Ohio Environmental Council, and state Rep. Main St. There will be a potluck dinner at 6 p.m.; the program will begin at 7:15 p.m.The main speaker will be Pesec, a leader in the Northeast Ohio Gas Accountability Project, a grassroots group.
