Firefighters in Westmoreland County battled an abandoned building fire in Jeannette late Friday night.

Officials said the blaze started at about 10:30 p.m. on Chestnut Street.

No one was injured in the fire, police said.

Authorities said the cause of the fire is under investigation. This was the 10th fire at an abandoned building in Jeannette since October.

Last weekend, firefighters fought two separate fires at vacant buildings and both were ruled arsons.

Anyone with information on the fires in Jeannette is asked to contact police.
